Restaurant Manager

Restaurant Manager – oversees and directs the service of the restaurant. This includes managing staff, ordering and maintaining inventory for alcohol and drinks and ensuring quality service to customers.
Searching for a qualified manager with a passion for excellence; providing guests with an “extra-ordinary” dining experience. Must be dependable, a strong leader, motivated and personable and accountable for the overall success of the daily restaurant operations.
Maintain all reservation systems and books to accommodate business demands
Manage all extra events – weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, etc.
Maintain schedules, payroll and other administrative support to maintain food and beverage cost controls and inventories
Organize and conduct pre-shift and departmental meetings daily
Hire, train and empower all restaurant staff to exercise good judgment while making decisions regarding service, food and guest satisfaction. Create side work assignments and ensure completion with wait staff
Create an exceptional guest experience
Assertive leadership skills
Strong floor management presence
Managing all areas of the operations during scheduled shifts which includes on the spot decision making, supporting the staff, 100% interaction with the guest, ensuring that the guests needs are our main focus while enforcing standards for personal performance
Assess staffing needs and recruit staff. Try and recruit from within the community.
Ensure all employees follow sanitation, safety and security procedures.
Lead, coach and teach our dedicated team to be the best they can be while developing and encouraging a fun, positive, family-style work environment.
Monitor purchasing, storage, preparation, handling and serving of all supplies and beverage products
Execute updated wine, beer and cocktail lists
Act as support system for all areas of the restaurant
Organize and direct training programs within the restaurant
Maintain spotlessly clean and safe restaurant at all times.
Lead and live by PRIDE (passion, respect, integrity, determination and excellence)
Ability to think, concentrate, communicate and interact with others
Ensure highest quality levels of products and hospitality
Must be able to help achieve all financial goals without compromising the integrity of the restaurant
Must act as a support system for all aspects of the restaurant
Must have strong communication skills
Must be dependable, reliable and motivated
Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Conduct weekly inventories to ensure that proper levels are stocked and to assess ordering patterns and changes
Update and communicate promotion announcements
Requirements:
Experience in upscale dining in a hands-on fast paced environment.
Involvement/understanding of managing inventory, cost of goods and overall control of financials.
Ability to mentor and train team members.
Have a passion for food and beverage, ability to connect with guests and staff alike and bring the value of PRIDE to our restaurant. Maintain the highests level of hospitality.
Computer skills and POS skills
Must be extremely flexible and have the ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail.
Must maintain the highest level of professionalism in dealing with confidential information

Food Runners and a Hostess
The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm is looking for a few part time food runners. We seek people who will share our vision and be a part of our dining experience. This is a perfect job for a high school student or local college student. Hours are Thursday - Sunday evenings. Food runners are an important "server assistant." They are an integral part of service and well-respected by the servers.
The hostess is the first face of the guests.

The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm is looking for a dependable person to help with one of the most important jobs in the kitchen. Jobs include keeping dishes and cookware clean, maintain cleanliness of floors and surfaces, can assist cooks with food prep and have a positive and friendly professional attitude. Hours are Thursday - Sunday.
