Virginia Farm to Table at the James Beard Foundation

We had a wonderful time at the James Beard Foundation – it was a huge honor for us. Chef Christopher, Pastry Chef Soo and Sous Chef Keith did an excellent job of presenting a Virginia Farm to Table dinner to 70 guests. They are the best and I appreciate them every day. My thanks to Calypso Wine, Sunset Hills, Corcoran and Fabbioli Cellars and Ayrshire Farms for their support at this event. Loudoun Convention and Visitors Association helped with the organization and my heartfelt thanks to everyone there. Melissa and Molly from Flavor Magazine – thanks for being there to support us. The biggest surprise came when my first chef, Jack Batten, arrived at the door. How fun for me – just sorry that his wife couldn’t come. Thanks to Emily who came with a group of her friends – she lives in NY but comes often to the restaurant with her sister. And, thanks to Candy and Herman – love you both. The staff at the House is so professional – I didn’t have to worry about anything!!! Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of The James Beard Foundation.
